DPI is used to describe the resolution number of dots per inch in a digital print and the printing resolution of a hard copy print dot gain; the increase in the size of the halftone dots during printing. This is caused by the spreading of ink on the surface of the media. It is important that artwork is set up appropriately to accommodate for the increased DPI.

 

 

 

Our standard print is 360 DPI. We recommend higher DPI for banners that will be seen up close.

We do not recommend increasing the DPI for billboards as 360 DPI is sufficient. Please note that many clients are happy with our 360 DPI prints for indoor and outdoor usage. It is best to order one at 360 DPI to see if it will suite your needs first.
